  • Place the motorcycle on a plain surface. Now, use a wrench to disconnect the battery terminal and the battery’s negative cable. 
  • Pry off the left side panel with a Phillips head screwdriver by removing the screws. Also, remove the seat with an adjustable wrench and access the ignition wire underneath it. 
  • You must disconnect the black ignition coil from the green ignition coil connector. 
  • Locate the 10mm bolts. These bolts secure the ignition switch. Use a socket wrench to pry off the bolts and detach the white ignition switch connector. Finally, remove the old switch to install the new one with the 10mm bolts. 
  • Finally, connect the ignition switch connector to the switch. Then, it would help if you connected the ignition coil and connector. Finish off the job by securing the seat, battery negative cable, and the left side panel.

  • The injector will be underneath the cover of the Voyager 1700 left side. Access it by removing the seat in front of the battery.
